Will Pointer

Will Pointer was born in Norwich, UK. From as long as he can remember he has always doodled, scribbled and drawn, whether it was as a finished piece of work, or a doodle in the back of his school French book. His work has developed from his early interest in cartoons and animation, and the traditional effects, the processes etching and woodblock gave. Detail plays a big part in Will's work and he has always appreciated and respected artists that put a lot of time and labour into their illustrations.

“I love drawing with my black pens and looking at any subject matter, fashion especially plays a large part in my inspiration. I have quite a traditional approach to my illustrations, I like hand-drawing if possible and contrast my images with pattern backgrounds I create on my mac.”

Will did a Foundation Course in 2001 at The Norwich School Of Art & Design, then journeyed his way down south to do a Degree in Illustration at The University Of Brighton in 2002. Will graduated in 2005 and is currently working as an Illustrator & Designer in Norwich, UK.
