Phil Corbett

Phil's origins are shrouded in mystery. Some say he was found under a mushroom one Beltane while others maintain he was cloned from DNA taken from ancient fossils. But how he got here isn't the issue - just thank your lucky stars he exists.

This Illustrator extrodinaire specialises in work that may seem cute and colourful but more often than not has extremely dark undertones. This is a constant source of annoyance to his clients, especially when he's working on children's products. "I think it toughens them up", he claims,"And besides it's no worse than the government safety films that we had to sit through as kids. That one where all those children get slaughtered on a farm has really scarred me emotionally. I wonder if I could sue someone about it..?" He does a lot of work in the designer toy field and thankfully these toys are aimed at adults rather than children and are a perfect platform for his brand of unhinged innocence.

After exhibiting his work around the world Phil's first solo London show 'The Erotic Terrors of the Deep' took place earlier this year. The show was very well received although a common complain was that it wasn't erotic enough, but most people agreed it was terrifying.

When not doing his own unfettered work creating Corbett originals Phil earns cash working for clients such as Sony, Nintendo, Letts, The Guardian, Vodafone and anyone else who'd have him really.
